In March 2021, I was given the opportunity by the K shopping center in Kortrijk to open a pop-up shop. I worked together with Patricia Balcaen, the woman behind the Balipati brand: handmade rattan lamps, furniture and deco from Indonesia. It was a unique opportunity for me to get out of my studio and make contact with people who didn’t knew me yet. I worked in my studio and was in the shop 2 days a week. After a year full of positive reactions, a full-time renter was found and the shop unfortunately had to close its doors. But it remains a unique experience and has made me more known in my region.
